Equity, Diversity, Inclusion: Navigating the Scientific Landscape
Poster text: This symposium aims to discuss Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) perspectives through the lens of faculty and trainees, and the implications in the mentor/mentee relationship. This symposium will feature invited speakers, and host a panel discussion with clinical and basic biomedical scientists as well as health professionals and promises to be an engaging and invigorating opportunity fo audience members to engage with mentor panelists and one another. This symposium is jointly hosted by WISDOM and CHRIM.
October 22, 2019–WISDOM MB partnered with the Children’s Health Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM) to present Equity, Diversity, Inclusion: Navigating the Scientific Landscape, a mentorship pre-conference symposium. This symposium focused on the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion in scientific research within organizations and in the mentoring relationship.
